This page explains what Lociva stores about you, why, and who helps us process it.
Data controller
Lociva is a product by Otonom, CVR 46779274, Lyngbyvej 83A, 2100 København Ø, Denmark.

What we store
Your account: email, name, language choice and your password (stored as an encrypted hash that we cannot read).
Your learning: the courses you follow, your answers to cards and tests, your progress, your exam date and the texts you write yourself, for example in "Explain it", homework and requests to us.
Material you upload: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, text and photos. Photos are deleted as soon as the text has been read. The text is kept so the course can be built.
Reminders: if you turn them on, we store the address your browser gives us for sending the message.
Technical: a login cookie and the time of your latest activity. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Why
To provide Lociva to you: account, courses, repetition and reminders (contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
To improve the content: we look at combined answers, for example which cards many people get wrong, and fix them (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
To keep the service secure and stable (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
We never sell your data and we show no ads.
Who helps us
Simply.com A/S (Denmark): server, database and email.
Anthropic PBC (USA): artificial intelligence (Claude). Text from your material and your answers is sent to Claude when lessons are made, text is translated or feedback is given. The transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are part of Anthropic's data processing addendum. Data from Anthropic's API is not used to train their models.
Your browser's push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla) delivers reminders. It only receives the message itself.
How long
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. If you want your account deleted, write to kontakt@otonom.dk and we will delete your data within 30 days.
Photos you upload are deleted as soon as the text has been read.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data and to have it corrected, deleted or handed over. You can also object to the processing. Write to kontakt@otonom.dk.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.dk.
Cookies
Lociva only uses a necessary login cookie and stores your language choice in your browser. That is why we do not ask for cookie consent.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top.
